We have successfully developed several wind farms in the Nordic region and are now expanding our presence in solar power. In terms of installed capacity, we are one of the largest developers of solar plants in Europe, with several ongoing solar power projects in the Nordic region at the permitting stage.
We dedicate substantial time to the initial phase of each project. After identifying and securing land for a new wind or solar farm, we conduct feasibility studies, apply for permits, and engage in consultations with relevant municipal authorities and the local community. In Sweden, we prepare environmental impact assessments (EIAs) in-house, while in Finland, we collaborate with professional third parties for the EIAs.
A central aspect of our work in project development is, of course, communication and dialogue with stakeholders involved in and around a project. This can involve politicians and officials, authorities, representatives of various interests such as reindeer husbandry and/or bird protection, local associations, residents, media, and others.
