Our project delivery process

With solid experience in project development and strong in-house expertise, we are well-equipped to drive our projects forward

Once a lease agreement is signed, we proceed with detailed feasibility studies and investigations for the project. This includes assessing natural and cultural values, other national interests, master plans, and the feasibility of connecting the facility to the electricity grid. The purpose is to ensure there are no obstacles that could hinder project implementation or the eventual approval of the environmental permit.

After completing these studies, we hold consultations with the local authorities and the surrounding community. We provide information to those most directly affected and invite a broader group to participate in consultation meetings. These meetings allow everyone to share their views and provide feedback on the project. All comments are compiled in the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), which is submitted with the permit application.

As a landowner, you can feel confident that we have the expertise and experience to manage the project from start to finish. For example, we prepare the Environmental Impact Assessment in-house and only engage consultants when specialist knowledge is required. This approach gives us comprehensive oversight and control over our projects, increasing the likelihood that the facility will be successfully built.

EPC – End-to-End Project Delivery

EPC stands for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction – and at BayWa r.e., we manage every step of the process. From early-stage analysis to completed energy facilities, we ensure that each project is technically sound, cost-efficient, and future-ready.

Our work begins with a thorough evaluation of the site and securing environmental permits and grid connections. From there, we handle financing, procurement, and detailed design – always with a focus on quality, efficiency, and long-term value.

We collaborate with leading suppliers to select the best technology and optimise every part of the installation – from turbine layout to infrastructure and grid integration. Thanks to our local experience in the Nordics and strong market insight, we tailor each solution to both site conditions and business goals.

During the construction phase, which typically lasts one to three years depending on the scope, our EPC team leads the entire process – from site preparation to turbine and systems installation. We ensure that projects are delivered to high standards, on schedule, and within budget.

Our strength lies in managing the full picture. That makes us a reliable partner from initial concept to operational energy asset.
