BayWa r.e. is working on combining various technologies to produce renewable energy more efficiently and to deliver even more renewable electricity to the grid.

Hybrid wind and solar power installation
There are great opportunities in complementing existing wind farms with solar power. The various energy sources are most productive at different times of the day and year, resulting in a more reliable and profitable installation.
These projects provide an efficient use of land and minimise conflicts with nature and cultural assets. A PV farm can be connected to the grid of the existing wind farm, which will speed up construction and reduce connection costs. However, sometimes it can be advantageous to create a standalone facility via a separate grid connection. What is most beneficial is different depending on the project.
Baywa r.e. Nordic is currently working on two hybrid farms that combine wind and solar power: Solpark EM and Hybridpark Lyngsåsa.
