BayWa r.e. is planning 6 wind turbine generator Park with a total capacity of approximately 44 MW in the Naulakangas area of Vaala municipality. Project site is located 24 kilometers southwest of the centre of Vaala. The total height of the power plants does not exceed 250 meters. The Naulakangas Park is in the final stages of project development, and wind measurements are planned to begin in 2025. The plan for the area has been approved, in addition to which the power plants have building permits.

Plans for connecting the park to the grid are being drawn up, and the intention is to agree on the grid connection in more detail during 2025.

Commercial operations and production can begin in 2027 at the earliest.
