  • Åshult

    BayWa r.e. is planning to build a wind farm on a number of forest properties situated in Växjö and Uppvidinge municipalities.

    The project area is almost completely within an area pointed out as an area of national interest for wind farming located approximately 1.5 km west of Marhult, 6 km northwest of Lenhovda and 30 km northeast of Växjö. Wind measurements have been conducted since November 2008 and the results show promising wind resources.

    An application for environmental permit for the original configuration was filed to the County Administrative Board of Kronoberg in January 2012. Based on this application BayWa r.e. obtained a permit in legal force the 4th of October 2017 to build 9 wind turbines with a maximal tip height of 190 m. 

    New park design

    As a complement to the above-mentioned permit in legal force, an alternative park design with fewer turbines with a maximal height of 250 m has been developed by BayWa r.e. The reason for this new design is due to the fact that it will lead to better environmental yield in the area which is enabled by the technology development in the branch.

    Between the 9th of November and the 7th of December 2016 consultations were held with the public for the new farm design for Åshult wind farm. A permit application for the new farm design constituting 6 wind turbines with a maximal tip height of 250 m was filed to the County Administrative Board of Kalmar the 22nd of May 2017 and is now under authorisation.

  • Bordsjö

    Bordsjö Fideikommiss and BayWa r.e. have agreed to jointly study the possibility of establishing wind power on Bordsjö Fideikommiss's land holdings in Aneby Municipality, Jönköping County.

    Together we hosted positive dialogue meetings with particularly concerned local residents and politicians in Aneby municipality during the month of September. The project is still at an early stage of development and there is no proposed placement of wind turbines as of today.

    In September 2013 we held positive dialogue meetings with concerned local residents and politicians in Aneby municipality to communicate our ambitions and obtain information about the conditions. During December 2013 and September 2016, consultations with authorities were held.

    Inventories concerning the impact on birds, bats, landscape and natural and cultural values have also implemented during 2013-2016.

    Wind measurement is on-going since June 2013.

    Consultations

    Between October 24 and November 29 2016, public consultations were held for Bordsjö wind power farm. We thank you for the constructive discussions and opinions received during the consultation period. The opinions will now be compiled and addressed in a consultation report prepared for an upcoming permit application.

  • Furuby

    BayWa r.e. is planning to construct a wind farm on the Furuby 8:15 property in Växjö municipality.

    The project area is located north of national highway 25, approximately 3,5 km east of Furuby. An environmental permit for 11 turbines with a tip height of 150 meters was received 2011-11-11 from the County Administrative Board in Kronobergs county. The permits are in legal force since January 24th 2013.

    Since the original permit application was made, the technology development has progressed and today there are wind turbines that have a higher environmental yield in comparison to those previously planned. The new technology provides the ability to reach higher efficiency with larger rotors, which usually means fewer turbines in the corresponding geographical area.

    In May 2015, a new EIA was prepared and application for an environmental permit comprising 10 wind turbines with a total height of maximum 220 meters submitted to the County Administrative Board in Kalmar County. You are welcome to contact us or the County to take part of the application documents.

    On December 15th 2015, the City Council in Växjö municipality decided to approve the 10 wind turbines planned for Furuby wind power farm. Thus, the matter may go to decision by the County Administrative Board in Kalmar County.

    Wind measurement is ongoing since January 2009.

  • Lyngsåsa

    BayWa r.e. is planning to construct a wind power farm which currently encompasses the properties of Lyngsåsa 1:2, Sållareboda 1:2 and Sällareboda 1:3 in the municipality of Alvesta.

    The project area is located south of the national highway 25 between Ryssby and Alvesta. The area has been specifically designated as an area of national wind power interest, and to a large extent also encompasses an area prioritized for wind power establishment by Alvesta municipality's wind power plan.

    All permits for a wind power farm comprising 36 turbines with a tip height of 150 meters have been obtained. On April 22 2014, the county board of Kalmar county granted our application for a change of conditions, which means that the rotor diameter is now unlimited.

    Since the original permit application was made, the technology development has progressed and today there are wind turbines that have a higher environmental yield in comparison to those previously planned. The new technology provides the ability to reach higher efficiency with larger rotors, which usually means fewer turbines in the corresponding geographical area.

    In May 2015, a final EIA was prepared and application for an environmental permit comprising 22 or alternatively 18 wind turbines with a total height of maximum 210 meters submitted to the County Administrative Board in Kalmar County. Additional supplements have been handed in. You are welcome to contact us or the County to take part of the application documents.

    On September 29th 2015, the City Council in Alvesta municipality decided to approve the 22 wind turbines planned for Lyngsåsa wind power farm. The County Administrative Board in Kalmar County also granted the permit on December 19th, 2016.

    Wind measurement is on-going since June 2010.

  • Lönnstorp

    On behalf of landowners and Vento Energi AB, BayWa r.e. is planning to construct a wind farm on the property Lönnstorp 2:1 in Svalöv municipality.

    The project area is located about 3 km north of Svalöv society and west of road 106. The planned wind farm consists of four wind turbines with an installed capacity up to 2.5 MW each.

    An application for the wind power farm was been submitted to the municipality of Svalöv during the summer of 2012. All four wind turbines were approved by the land and environment court 2015-02-05 and this verdict was established by the land and environment supreme court 2015-04-15. The building permit application was approved by Svalöv municipality 2015-08-13 but has been appealed again. The appeals were denied by the county board 2016-02-18, by the land and environment court 2016-11-03 and by the land and environment supreme court 2016-12-22.

  • Målajord II

    BayWa r.e. is planning, on behalf of Mångkraft AB, to build a wind farm on the property Målajord 6:1 in Växjö kommun.

    The project area is located approximately 4 kilometers east of Rottne and 4 kilometers southwest of Braås. The planned wind power farm consists of 3 turbines, each with a total height of max 210 meters. There is already an existing Enercon E44 wind turbine on site since 2004. 

    Investigations have been carried out regarding birds, bats, biodiversity, historic remains etc. Consultations with authorities, local residents, other enterprises and associations were held in october-november 2014. A permit application was handed in to the authorities in January 2015. A supplement to the application was handed in in June 2015.

    On October 20th 2015, the City Council in Växjö municipality decided to approve the 3 wind turbines planned for Målajord wind power farm.

    On September 6th 2016 the county administrative board in Kalmar decided to grant all three planned wind turbines.

    On June 30th 2017 the land and environment court at Växjö district court decided to change term 11 but otherwise reject other appeals that had been submitted.

    On November 22nd 2017, the land and environment supreme court decided to not give leave to appeal why the land and environment courts decision is in legal force. Målajord II wind farm thus has all permits for construction and operation. 

    Wind measurement has been carried out June 2014-May 2015.

  • Ryfors

    BayWa r.e. is planning to establish a wind farm on the property Margreteholm 1:4 in Mullsjö municipality.

    The County Administrative Board of Östergötland granted the necessary permissions for all 16 wind turbine generators on May 6th, 2013. The permit allows a maximal total height of 150 m, and a new design is now being developed that include 9 turbines with a maximal height of 250 m.

    From November 20 and until December 15 2017, public consultations were held for Ryfors wind farm. We thank you for the constructive discussions and opinions received during the consultation period. The opinions will now be compiled and addressed in a consultation report prepared for an upcoming permit application.

    The project area is located 2,7 km west of Mullsjö. The existing permit covers 16 wind turbines, each of them with a maximum power output of 3 MW and total height of maximum 150 m. The wind power farm is expected to produce 96 000 MWh per yearc, which corresponds to the annual energy consumption of 19 200 homes. The Municipality of Mullsjö decided in September 2011 to approve permit for the planned wind power farm according to chapter 9 in the Swedish Environmental Code. All permits for the wind power farm have been obtained and wind measurement is on-going since April 2009.

    New park design

    In order to utilise the technical development that has occurred on the market since the permit was granted, a new design is now being developed with 9 turbines and a maximal total height of 250 m. This park is expected to produce 127 000 MWh annually. All investigations and inventories that were carried out for the former application will be used for the new application, but some of them will be or has been updated. The application is expected to be filed to the County Administrative Board of Östergötland during 2018.

  • Sjönnebol

    BayWa r.e. is planning to establish a wind power farm comprising a total of 8 wind turbine generators near Sjönnebol in Säffle municipality.

    The area is considered as a national interest for wind power and the municipality has also deemed it suitable for wind power production.

    BayWa r.e. and the land owners are planning to construct a wind farm, which currently encompasses the properties Humledalen 1:1, Slättval 1:1, Södra Ny Kyrkby 1:6, Sjönnebol 1:4 and Norra Örrud 1:3 in Säffle municipality. The project area is located in Säffle municipality on the Värmlandsnäs peninsula.  The area has been specifically designated as an area of national wind power interest by the Swedish Energy Agency. Säffle Municipality has designated the area as especially suitable for wind power in its comprehensive plan covering wind power. Eight wind turbines are planned to be constructed, each of which with a maximal effect of 3 MW and total height of 150 meters. The wind farm is expected to produce  48 000 MWh per year which corresponds to 9 600 homes yearly energy consumption.

    Consultations with the neighboring residents  were held during December 2008. Nature and bird inventories have been completed. Application for environmental permit was submitted to the County Administrative Board in Värmlands in January 2010. Säffle municipality has approved the project.

    The County Administrative Board of Örebro granted the necessary permission for the Wind Power Farm on May 21st 2013. The permits are in legal force.

  • Slageryd

    BayWa r.e. currently constructing the 23.4 MW turn-key Slageryd Wind Power Farm on behalf of Taaleri Energia SolarWind 1 located in Slageryd in the municipality of Vetlanda, Southern Sweden.

    BayWa r.e. secured planning permission for the wind farm 2017 after taking on the project in 2016, utilizing its 30 years of wind energy experience to coordinate the project. BayWa r.e. undertook a 12 month wind measurements campaign as part of its optimisation work, helping to secure planning approval and ensure its commercial success.

    We have contracted the wind turbine manufacturer Nordex to supply six Nordex N131 3.9 MW turbines for the project. Construction have started with the wind farm expected to become operational towards the end of 2019. 

    Once operational the Slageryd wind farm will produce approximately 71 GWh of green electricity per year and an estimated reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of 50,000 tonnes of CO2 each year.

    Once operational BayWa r.e.’s experienced Swedish maintenance team and state of the art central monitoring hub in Munich, Germany will ensure the wind farm is run safely and at maximum efficiency under a long term asset management contract – producing the best yield for Taaleri Energia.

  • Skånes Värsjö

    BayWa r.e. is planning to construct a wind power farm in Örkelljunga and Hässleholm municipality.

    The project area is located east of the national highway E4, north of the lake Värsjön. A major part of the project is planned in Örkelljunga municipality but some parts extend into Hässleholm municipality. The area is currently used for forestry.

    Örkelljunga municipality has identified the area as suitable in their wind power plan, adopted the 9th of March 2011. Hässleholm municipality adopted an addition to its wind power plan in 2009. The project area borders to areas which Hässleholm municipality has designated suitable for wind power.

    Wind measurement is on-going since September 2009.

  • Vaggeryd

    BayWa r.e. and Havgul clean energy AS plan to jointly establish a modern, high-performance wind power farm west of Skillingaryd and Vaggeryd - Vaggeryd Wind Power Farm.

    We want to create value with wind together with concerned land owners with benefits for both the environment and the countryside.

    Vaggeryds Wind Mill Park is a unique wind power projects which originally has been initiated started by the landowners in the local district. Currently, the project is being developed jointly by BayWa r.e. and Havgul clean energy AS. BayWa r.e. is primarily responsible for project development and communication, while Havgul responsible for external funding. It has also established a working group of local landowners who are involved in development and represents a local party dialogue.

    During the spring of 2016 a public consultation took place for Vaggeryds Wind farm regarding 27 turbines in a park west of Skillingaryd. After more investigations and discussions with turbine producers BayWa r.e. Scandinavia and Havgul Clean Energy AS decided to increase the height of the turbines and have another public consultation. This took place between April and May 2017. BayWa r.e. Scandinavia and Havgul Clean Energy AS are now working with the comments that were received during this consultation. An application is expected to be handed in during the fall of 2017.

    BayWa r.e. served as the customer's advisor during the procurement process and has since 1 January 2017 responsibility for the technical management of the wind farm for the owner Vindpark Em AB.

  • Engaholm

    In June 2015 BayWa r.e. and our appointed installation service provider together with Engaholms Skogar commissioned the largest solar plant in the municipality of Alvesta.

    The 100 kWp solar plant comprises approximately 670 m2 solar cell surface split on 402 panels which are expected to produce 92 MWh/year, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 18 residential houses. The solar plant is established at the Engaholm estate on top of an existing barn roof facing south.

    "It is a great satisfaction that Engaholm achieved its goal of becoming self-sufficient in renewable energy. The initiative is in line with Engaholm's strategy to operate in sustainable activities such as renewable energy. The solar system is the first of several initiatives in the area. The choice of BayWa r.e. was easy given our long and excellent collaboration" says Anders Koskull, Engaholm.

  • Karsholm

    BayWa r.e. commissioned Karsholm Wind Power Farm on the behalf of Karsholms Vindkraft AB in November 2012 on the property of Karsholm 1:4 in the municipality of Kristianstad.

    We have also been responsible for the design, development, procurement, management, finance, construction project management and sale of Karsholm. The wind power farm is located about 10 kilometers north of Kristianstad.

    The wind power farm consists of five wind turbines of type MM92 from the German turbine manufacturer REpower and is rated at a total of 10.25 MW. The plant is expected to produce 28 000 MWh per year, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 5 600 residential houses.

    BayWa r.e. is responsible for the Technical and Financial management as well as the operation of Karsholm Wind Power Farm.

    Decision on wind power operation without any remarks

    Kristianstad Municipality has decided that Karsholms Vindkraft AB operates the wind power farm Karsholms Vindbrukspark without any remarks and manages the terms for noise impact with a satisfactory margin.

    After receiving complaints from residents in the area around the wind power farm, Kristianstad municipality decided for an injunction regarding a noise study. Sound measurements have since been carried out by an accredited and independent consultant on behalf of the operator. The noise measurements were completed in October 2013 and the consultant subsequently filed a report on the measurements and the results from these to the municipality. It has now been clarified that the operator Karsholms Vindkraft AB meets  the conditions of 40 dB(A) for all adjacent properties with at least 2 dB(A) margin.

  • Klågerup

    BayWa r.e. commissioned Klågerup Wind Power Farm on the behalf of Klågerup Kraft AB in October 2011 on the property Klågerup 1:3 in the municipality of Svedala.

    We have also been responsible for the design, development, procurement, management, finance, construction project management and sale of Klågerup. The wind power farm is located east of Highway 108 north of Klågerup estate, within an area prioritized for wind power according to Svedala Municipality's thematic plan for wind power.

    The wind power farm consists of three wind turbines of type MM92 from the German turbine manufacturer REpower and is rated at a total of 6.15 MW. The plant is expected to produce 17 000 MWh per year, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 3400 residential houses.

    BayWa r.e. is responsible for the Technical and Financial management as well as the operation of Klågerup Wind Power Farm.

    The wind power farm consists of eleven wind turbines of type Siemens SWT-2.3-101 and is rated at a total of 25.3 MW. The plant is expected to produce 66 000 MWh per year, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 13 200 residential houses.

    BayWa r.e. is responsible for the Technical and Financial management as well as the operation of Milletorp Wind Power Farm.

    The Wind Power farm is planned to include a total of five wind turbines and is located in Härnösands municipality, about eight kilometers west of Utansjö and two kilometers north of Furuhult.

    On 22 June 2011, Härnösands municipality approved the planning application for a total of six wind turbines and November 1st  the same year the building permit gained legal force. BayWa r.e. will establish the wind farm in 2015. In the first phase, five of the six wind turbines to be erected.

    The supplier of the five wind turbines is Siemens AB. The wind turbines have a rated power of 3.2 MW, a rotor diameter of 113 m and a hub height of 92.5 meters. All wind turbines are equipped with a function for de-icing.

    Technical consultation was held with Härnösands municipality 2015-02-05 and a notice to commence construction works was announced 2015-04-02.

    Stenger & Ibsen Construction Sweden has been appointed the civil works contractor. The fieldworks began during week 17 with deforestation and terracing of roads. Civil Works was completed according to plan and all foundations, roads and crane pads where completed during the summer of 2015. Works related to the grid connection, internal grid and fiber optics where completed during the autumn 2015. The wind turbines where delivered to site during late December 2015.

    The Stormon Wind Farm is now fully operational and the wind turbines has been taken over by BayWa r.e. Nordic from Siemens as per 2016-02-23. 

    In June 2015, the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation decided to label Stormon wind poer farm as a "Good Environmental Choice".
