BayWa r.e. has been responsible for the design, development, procurement, management, finance, construction project management and sale of Målajord. The wind farm is located about 20 kilometers north east of Växjö. 

The wind farm consists of three wind turbines of the model Nordex N149 4.8 MW and is rated at a total of 14.4 MW. The plant is expected to produce 50,000 MWh per year, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption (heating excluded) of 10,000 residential houses.
