SwedenBayWa r.e. secured the permit for the wind farm in 2018. The wind turbine manufacturer Siemens Gamesa has been contracted to supply ten SG-170 – 6.2 MW turbines for the project.
Construction is under way with the wind farm expected to become operational during the fourth quarter of 2022.
Once operational the Furuby wind farm will produce approximately 208 GWh of green electricity per year. Post launch, BayWa r.e.’s experienced Swedish maintenance team and central monitoring hub in Munich, Germany
will ensure the wind farm is run safely and at maximum efficiency under a long term asset management contract – producing the best yield for the owner ERG.
