Today, the building permit for BayWa r.e.’s Hevosselkä wind power project in the municipality of Tervola entered into legal force. The project comprises six wind turbines with a total installed capacity of approximately 44 MW and is located around 23 kilometres southeast of the centre of Tervola.

The turbines will have a maximum total height of 250 metres. As part of the ongoing project development, a wind measurement campaign is currently underway using a 150-metre measurement mast and is scheduled to continue until August this year.

The building permit entering into legal force marks another important milestone for the Hevosselkä project and represents a further step in the successful development of BayWa r.e. Nordic’s operations in Finland.
