Projects under Development in the Nordics

In March 2025, BayWa r.e. Nordic was granted a building permit for a new battery storage facility in Norsjö Municipality, with a capacity of 80 MW.

In May 2025, BayWa r.e. Nordic received a building permit to construct a 60 MW battery storage facility in Alvesta Municipality.

In December 2024, BayWa r.e. Nordic was granted a building permit for a new battery storage facility in Dals-Ed Municipality, with a planned capacity of 75 MW.

BayWa r.e. Nordic received a positive decision for a Section 12.6 notification in October 2024 and a building permit in May 2025 for a new 15 MW battery storage facility in Linköping Municipality.

BayWa r.e. is currently planning a new wind farm located 32 km north of Tornio, Finland. The project is a joint venture with Exilion Tuuli Ky and comprises 48 wind turbines with a total capacity of 252-480 MW.

BayWa r.e. is working on the planning of a new solar-power plant in the municipality of Alvesta. The facility will complement the Lyngsåsa wind farm to form a so-called ‘hybrid’ plant.

BayWa r.e. will build a new solar-power plant in the municipality of Mönsterås. The plant will be located next to an existing wind farm and will use the same connection to the electricity grid.

BayWa r.e. Nordic is currently investigating the possibility of building a solar park on land north of Borrasjön, about four kilometres south-west of Hjortsberga in Alvesta municipality.
